Application Security, Inc., the leading provider of database security, risk and compliance solutions (SRC) for the enterprise, today announced the appointment of Erik Jarlstrom as Vice President, Worldwide Services. As Application Security, Inc. extends its leadership in the database SRC market, Mr. Jarlstrom brings extensive technical service, customer support and IT project management experience to the firm. He’ll be responsible for managing and driving the global expansion of Application Security, Inc.’s worldwide services organization.

For over 27 years Erik Jarlstrom has led services organizations for industry leaders including IBM, Oracle, and Ernst & Young. His experience includes top management roles in technical, customer advocacy, project management and enterprise software pre-sales positions.
Prior to joining Application Security, Inc., Erik served as vice president of customer advocacy with DataGuise, a data privacy software company. While at DataGuise, he was responsible for customer support and pre and post sales for the data privacy startup company. Prior to DataGuise, he held senior leadership positions at Princeton Softech, Inc., IBM, Delegata, AristaSoft and Oracle Corporation. While at Oracle, Erik was a co-author of the Oracle AIM, EMM, and Fast Forward methodologies. He earned his B.A. in Finance and Management from Copenhagen Business School.
