Wily 6 Focuses on End-to-End Management

Real-Time Visibility of Real-Time Environments Promised

Introscope ErrorDetector is designed to be the first solution that allows IT teams to detect these hidden errors in live production applications, pinpoint where errors occur within the transaction path and then deliver specific information about the root cause so errors can be eliminated.

Seamlessly integrated with Introscope and Transaction Tracer, according to Wily, Introscope ErrorDetector requires no development effort and no code changes, and allows application management teams to capture real time or historical error data for trend analysis and isolate hidden errors in individual user transactions.

For additional application user experience visibility, Wily’s Browser Response Time (BRT) Adapter is now also integrated with Transaction Tracer, enabling the tracking of network latency issues down to individual transactions.  BRT Adapter is the only end-to-end monitor to provide full, component-level transaction visibility from the browser to back-end systems with no hardware, no synthetic transactions, no code changes, low overhead and with zero security risk.

Wily 6 also includes the upgraded Introscope PowerPack for IBM WebSphere MQ, which delivers real-time performance measurement of the most widely deployed messaging solution in enterprise computing. The PowerPack provides monitoring for IBM WebSphere MQ as well as the connectors to the Java applications it supports.  By isolating specific bottlenecks that occur within the messaging infrastructure, the PowerPack allows IT staff to quickly capture and route information about performance issues in any IBM WebSphere MQ-connected application to the appropriate MQ administrator for rapid resolution.

The company says that Introscope 6 delivers on Wily’s Management 360 promise, enabling customers to gain comprehensive control over their enterprise web applications with a single tool for all stakeholders.  Introscope’s track record of customer success and reliability has made it the standard for managing composite applications in complex environments like Services Oriented Architectures (SOAs), and for implementing best practices like those of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library).

Specific new enhancements to Introscope 6 include:

·        Console Lens – A new tool that enables IT staff to use an existing dashboard configuration to monitor multiple applications, simplifying dashboard deployment and speeding time to value.

·        WebView – Wily’s remote web-based tool for viewing application performance data offers enhanced scalability and usability features so an expanded number of IT stakeholders can utilize Introscope 6 to collaboratively monitor their applications anytime, anywhere.

·        Transaction Events Database – A new, fully integrated database allows for quick and efficient storage of individual user transaction and application error data to allow benchmarking, rapid correlation and analysis of specific problematic transactions.

“Understanding real transactions, and not just the IT silos that they cross, is critical for effective web application control and management,” said Jasmine Noel, Partner and Founder, Ptak Noel and Associates.  “Today’s complex computing environments and SOA initiatives make the occasional monitoring of crises and the use of only synthetic transactions inadequate.  To gain real value from web applications, organizations need comprehensive tools to monitor real transactions, in real time, and cover the entire transaction path—from browser to connected back ends.”

Introscope is the most widely used tool for managing both custom and packaged applications from vendors including Amdocs, Actuate, Ariba, BlueMartini, BusinessObjects, Chordiant, Cognos, Documentum, DST Innovis, e.piphany, IDX, Interwoven, MatrixOne, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Siebel and many more.  Wily customers also use Introscope to manage their heterogeneous application environments including middleware, transaction components and databases including Netegrity, SeeBeyond, Sybase, Oracle, Vignette, TIBCO, Vitria, and WebMethods.

If a machine can invent, does this mean the end of the patent system as we know it? The patent system, both in the US and Europe, allows companies to protect their inventions and helps foster innovation. However, Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be set to disrupt the patent system as we know it. This talk will examine how AI may change the patent landscape in the years to come. Furthermore, ways in which companies can best protect their AI related inventions will be examined from both a US and...

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
