The Data Virtualization Day agenda is highlighted by case study presentations from three of leading data virtualization adopters.

  • Ted Hills, Director of Enterprise Information Architecture at Bank of America, will present "Real Time is the Rule"
  • Arvinder Oberoi, Senior VP, Sales and Marketing Technology at Putnam Investments will speak on "Exploiting IT Agility to Perform at the Speed of Business"
  • Mark Morgan, Qualcomm Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture Solutions will discuss "Moving at Lightning Speed - The Impact of Data Virtualization on Agility"

In addition, Dr. Michael Linhares, Ph.D and Research Fellow at Pfizer Inc. will participate with other presenters in a "Meet the Experts" session.  Linhares was instrumental in development of Pfizer's Research Information Factory (RIF), global reference data implementation, introduction of data federation and other enterprise data integration projects and will share his experiences in delivering agile business intelligence utilizing data virtualization. Dr. Linhares will also discuss his extensive experience in data management and dispel myths surrounding data virtualization.

Gartner's Mark Beyer Will Keynote
Gartner Research VP Mark Beyer will keynote the event, discussing the latest trends in data management, data integration and data warehousing in his talk entitled "Extreme Information Management and Logical Data Warehousing."  Beyer will also chair a panel discussion on "Going Beyond Traditional Data Integration to Achieve Business Agility."

Vendor Executives Round Out the Agenda
