-Lynch to keynote alongside HP Labs, Oracle, Cloudera and Lotus F1 on day one of the UK's number one IT infrastructure event-
London, UK: September 2012 - Autonomy founder Mike Lynch will kick off the keynote programme at this year's IP EXPO alongside IT heavyweights HP Labs, Cloudera, Oracle and Lotus F1.
Lynch will speak at 09h50 on day one of the UK's number one IT infrastructure event, which runs on 17 and 18 October at London's Earls Court 2. His seminar, It's Enterprise Technology, But Not As We Know It, will give an insightful review of today's enterprise technology scene, exploring the changing power balances in IT departments. Lynch will then make a cameo appearance in the IP EXPO Big Data Theatre during a Featurespace session about managing risk in the evolving IT department.
Second to take to the stage will be Dr John Manley, Director of Cloud Services at HP Labs, who will present his keynote, Beyond Simply the Cloud, at 11h10. During his presentation, Manley will demonstrate the new abilities and powers opened by the cloud, taking a lightning-fast trip through the current and the immediate future.
Following Manley's keynote, Apache Lucene creator, Apache Hadoop co-creator and Chief Architect at Cloudera, Doug Cutting, will co-present with Oracle Director of Big Data, Mike Connaughton, on Unlocking the Power of Big Data with Hadoop. The pair's keynote, at 11h50, will examine how to derive real business value from Big Data and the technologies that can help businesses to succeed.
Meanwhile, the day's fourth keynote, Accelerating into the Cloud, will kick off at 12h30, when Lotus F1 CIO, Graeme Hackland, will discuss the company's journey to Cloud Computing, and how an Agile Data Infrastructure helps win races.
The keynote speakers are part of 260-strong seminar programme that will feature the latest solutions for IP Networks, Wireless, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Computing and Security. Virtual Security, Big Data and BYOD will represent key themes at this year's show as the IT department continues to grow and change.
