NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced its recognition in four Oracle Excellence Awards categories at Oracle OpenWorld 2012, Oracle's annual event for business decision-makers, IT management, and line-of-business end users. The Oracle Excellence Awards recognize customers and partners that excel in driving business value with Oracle. PwC is a Grande level sponsor of the event, which will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco from September 30 to October 4, 2012.

- Industry Solution in Healthcare & Life Sciences Sector: This award recognizes PwC's successful implementation of Oracle's solution to solve a healthcare customer's need while showing specific technical expertise and/or industry knowledge.
- Industry Momentum: This award recognizes PwC's outstanding contribution to Oracle's continuing strategy to increase acceptance and market share of industry applications.
In addition, PwC received an Honorable Mention for Financial Management/Enterprise Performance Management.
