Crocus Consulting (www.crocus-consulting.com), a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), is to launch a new consultancy practice for Oracle Fusion applications. The new practice will focus on Fusion Co-Existence with PeopleSoft and will run alongside the company's existing PeopleSoft and Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) operations. Co-Existence is the ability to introduce separate Fusion modules such as e-Compensation and Talent Management and to implement them quickly through an effective SaaS model integrated with an existing PeopleSoft solution.
The move to open a separate Fusion application practice, concentrating on the Co-Existence model, is seen both as a reflection of the market potential for Fusion consultancy and as a recognition of the on-going need to maintain existing long term Crocus support activities for PeopleSoft applications, in keeping with Oracle's 'Application Unlimited' commitment.
Commenting on the announcement Crocus MD Chris Smith said, "Having run what is effectively a Fusion Middleware practice with Oracle OBIEE for over a year, the decision to open the new Fusion Apps consultancy practice is a natural development.
"We are extremely confident that there will be a healthy and growing level of interest in what the practice has to offer. We expect much of the demand to come from those amongst our customer base who are considering upgrading to the latest version of PeopleSoft and who want then to be able to leverage that investment through what Fusion has to offer. No doubt our extensive PeopleSoft knowledge base will prove invaluable here. We should stress, though, that we shall continue to deliver full PeopleSoft support for as long as required for anyone who needs it."
