PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/03/12 -- The 18th Annual National Ergonomics Conference & Exposition (ErgoExpo), the largest ergonomics conference and trade show in the United States, being held December 4 - 7, 2012 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, announced the nominees for the ErgoExpo Attendees' Choice Awards. The list of nominees includes innovative products from Contour Design, ErgoGenesis, Herman Miller, Humanscale, Microsoft, Neutral Posture, Workrite Ergonomics and more.
During the three-day ErgoExpo, industry professionals from leading companies will have the opportunity to view new products on display at the Expo and vote for the nominated product they believe offers the best opportunity to increase productivity and profitability, while improving workplace health and safety. Winners will be announced Thursday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the expo hall.
"Products will be voted on by decision-makers from major companies poised for growth in the immediate future," said Walter Charnizon, Managing Director, ErgoExpo.
The 2012 ErgoExpo will have the largest audience the conference has seen since the onset of the nation's recession four years ago. Event organizers believe the record number of attendees indicate organizations' renewed commitment to addressing the needs of their workforces.
"ErgoExpo is the most important event of the year for professionals looking for new products and techniques to reduce workplace-related injuries, improve productivity, and grow the bottom line," said Charnizon. "The audience at this year's event is projected to be larger than we've had since 2008, we believe this growth reflects the recovering national economy."
Executives attending this year's event represent some of the world's most forward-thinking organizations:
- Apple
- Boeing
- Disneyland
- ExxonMobile
- FBI
- General Motors
- Honeywell
- Intel
- Johns Manville
- Kaiser Permanente
- Liberty Mutual
- Northrop Grumman
- Oracle
- Procter & Gamble
- Shell Oil
- Travelers
- United Auto Workers
- Volvo
- Westinghouse
- Zurich Services
The conference provides an opportunity to learn how ergonomics will: protect a scaled-back and aging workforce; improve safety, efficiency, morale and productivity; reduce absenteeism and workers' comp costs; plus boost an organization's success.
