SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/04/12 -- Metamarkets, the leader in real-time analytics for online advertising, announced today two additions to its leadership team. Jeff Epstein, former Chief Financial Officer of DoubleClick, is joining the Metamarkets board of directors and Adam Smith, former Google Ads Product Manager and partner at AOL Ventures, is the new Vice President of Product.
Jeff Epstein is currently an executive-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners and a Senior Advisor at Oak Hill Capital. He also serves on the Boards of Directors at Priceline.com and Shutterstock. Previously, Mr. Epstein served as CFO of several public and private companies, including Oracle, DoubleClick (sold to Google), King World Productions (sold to CBS) and Nielsen's Media Measurement Group. Mr. Epstein's areas of expertise include cloud computing, internet advertising technology and consumer internet companies.
"Jeff Epstein's immense talents are uniquely suited to a position on Metamarkets' board. His experiences at the intersection of technology and media companies, like Oracle and DoubleClick, have tremendous synergy with Metamarkets' own vision for growth," said Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures, a Metamarkets investor.
Adam Smith, former partner of AOL Ventures and co-founder of First Floor Labs, a start-up accelerator, brings expertise in the startup technology space. Mr. Smith held several product roles at Google from 2003 until 2009, including Product Manager of Google's machine-learning smart ad systems, the underlying technology behind relevant ads. While at Google, Mr. Smith earned the first Founders Award for his work on the Ads Quality Team.
"Metamarkets has built a killer app for publishers, advertising exchanges, and DSPs. I'm excited to help take our product to the next level," said Adam Smith, Vice President of Product, Metamarkets. "The revolution happening in real-time advertising markets is as disruptive as what I witnessed a decade ago with search. I look forward to joining Metamarkets at the leading edge of this wave."
"Adam is a world-class Silicon Valley talent who understands how to shape technology into revenue-generating products, and we're thrilled to have him on board. His addition, along with Jeff's, signals our commitment to building on our strength in digital advertising markets," said Michael Driscoll, CEO of Metamarkets.
