SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/12 -- Former Oracle executive Dhruv Gupta has joined Boundary as vice president of Products, in charge of continuing the company's commitment to customers. Gupta comes to Boundary with extensive experience in product management and product marketing pertaining to application performance management and cloud infrastructure, pedigree that will serve him well as he seeks to grow Boundary's influence in this space.
Boundary has gained a strong foothold in the application performance management market in a short period of time. Launched in April, Boundary's service, which monitors cloud and hybrid IT infrastructure, is collecting 350 megabits of network flow data per second and analyzing three terabytes of traffic per day across 500 customers. Boundary has also developed a solid reputation as an early warning system for spotting cloud performance problems before end-users are impacted. In so doing, Boundary is helping to ensure that companies running applications in cloud and hybrid IT environments are receiving maximum value for spend on these business-critical investments.
While at Oracle, Gupta was senior director of Product Management, responsible for product strategy and product marketing for various cloud management initiatives, including platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and hybrid cloud. Before Oracle, Gupta was vice president of Product Marketing and Management at AmberPoint, where he successfully expanded the company's product portfolio and positioning, leading to AmberPoint's acquisition by Oracle. And prior to AmberPoint, Gupta was the founding engineer at Interkeel, where he designed and implemented the industry's first solution for monitoring and managing Web services in real-time.
"Boundary has a unique vantage point for monitoring applications," said Gupta. "With its focus on always-on monitoring of application traffic, Boundary delivers unparalleled analytics into application behavior. I look forward to leading the process by which customer needs are translated into meaningful product features."
"I am very excited to welcome Dhruv to the executive team," said Gary Read, CEO at Boundary. "He has extensive background in application performance management and cloud software, which will be integral as we enhance our next-generation solution and expand our market leadership. What is sometimes lost in appointment announcements is the professionalism a new hire can bring to an organization. Dhruv has a well-earned reputation for leadership and integrity, two assets that an organization can never have too much of, and each of which our customers will surely benefit from."
