Proformative, the premier knowledge-sharing community for chief financial officers and corporate finance leaders, today announced its line up of world-class speakers for ProformaTECH 2013, its inaugural technology conference for finance, accounting, treasury and related professionals. Consistent with its mission to support the ongoing education of corporate finance professionals, Proformative is offering attendees a full day opportunity to hear and learn from several luminaries of the corporate financial world, while also earning five complimentary Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
Keynote Speaker Rex Jackson, executive vice-president and CFO of JDS Uniphase (JDSU), will discuss today’s new breed of financial leaders and how they can drive their companies to new heights of success by leveraging the power of technology. Rex's unique blend of expertise in finance, law, and technology give him the ability to provide unmatched insights into the transformative role of technology in today's corporate finance, accounting and treasury functions.
“Technology innovation is not only driving IT and corporate strategy,” said Jackson. “It’s also transforming the role of finance; providing opportunities to realize process efficiencies, operate more nimbly, and gain competitive advantage.”
Other ProformaTECH 2013 conference presenters include Jeff Epstein, former executive vice-president and CFO of Oracle, who will also be moderating a panel discussion on “Technology and Finance in Today's World”; Jim Cook, CFO of Mozilla; Peter Oey, CFO of MyLife.com; Shyam Desigan, CFO and senior vice president of IT, American Academy of Physician Assistants; Mike Forman, vice president of finance and corporate controller of NetSuite; and Glenn Robertson, senior vice president of internal audit at Wyndham Worldwide.
“While their core roles and responsibilities remain as important as ever, it’s now more critical for corporate finance leaders to broaden their perspectives and grasp how technology fits into the larger strategic goals of their organizations,” commented Epstein, who is now an executive-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners and a senior advisor at Oak Hill Capital Partners. “Today more than ever, CFOs need to understand how disruptive technologies are overturning traditional business models, as well understanding their role in helping ensure regulatory compliance, reduce enterprise risk, deliver superior service at reduced cost, and create sustainable value.”
