BEA Wins Award For Web Services / SOA Infrastructure

Provides Standards-Based Platforms Designed To Help Accelerate The Secure Flow Of Information And Services

BEA Systems has been recognized by its solution-provider partners and readers of CMP Technology’s VARBusiness for the outstanding satisfaction levels that it provides to them and has been lauded in the Annual Report Card (ARC) award program. The company received top honors for Product Innovation in the Web/SOA Infrastructure and Integration Software Category from the biweekly magazine that provides strategic insight to technology integrators, at an awards ceremony held on Aug. 15, at the XChange ’06 Conference in St. Louis.

Now in its 21st year, the VARBusiness ARC Awards recognize outstanding partner programs in 19 product and service categories including desktop computers, servers, storage management, Internet application server software and networking hardware. Winners were selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers (VARs), solution providers and software developers.

"As a leader in SOA, we are honored that channel partners have expressed their vote of confidence in our products and partnering strategies,” said Rich Geraffo, Senior Vice President & General Manager of BEA Americas organization. “Our mutual customers are under increasing pressure to reduce costs and improve efficiencies, which is why SOA solutions are in such high demand right now. We consider our partners an integral part of our team and key to our ongoing success in helping enterprises expedite their SOA from pilot to production.”

“The VARBusiness Annual Report Card is the industry defining research on vendor/partner relationships,” says Lawrence M. Walsh, the magazine’s editor. “It is a significant benchmark because the winners are selected by their own solution-provider partners.”

As a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, BEA provides standards-based platforms designed to help accelerate the secure flow of information and services. BEA product lines — WebLogic, Tuxedo, and the AquaLogic family of Service Infrastructure — can help customers reduce IT complexity and successfully deploy Service-Oriented Architectures to help improve business agility and efficiency.
