RealScout Attracts Two Key Industry Veterans to Drive Product and Accelerate Growth

Realtor.com Executive Duke Fan Joins RealScout as VP of Product and Former LoopNet Director Mary Sarlsow as Senior Director of Sales

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/16/14 -- RealScout, the platform that powers collaboration between real estate agents and their clients, announced today that Duke Fan will join the company as Vice President of Product and Mary Sarslow comes aboard as Senior Director of Sales. Both will report directly to RealScout CEO, Andrew Flachner.

Duke joins RealScout with over 20 years of product management and leadership experience. During his tenure at Yahoo! he innovated and grew critical product lines including personalization (My Yahoo!, Registration) and search client software (Yahoo! Toolbar, Anti-Spy, Desktop Search). More recently, Duke spent over 5 years at Realtor.com® where he served as VP Product of Mobile Experience. There he helped develop the highest rated real estate search apps for iOS, Android and Windows 8, and launched additional mobile apps for rentals and mortgage.

"I am really excited to be joining the RealScout team to focus on making the best search experience for home buyers and their agents," said Duke. "Over the coming months we'll be doubling down on our core promise of helping agents assist their clients in becoming happy homeowners."

Mary began her career at Apple and at CRM giant Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle) where she quickly became a star sales contributor and leader. Later, she joined commercial real estate technology company LoopNet during its early stages and as Director of Sales, drove the company through its IPO and eventual acquisition by CoStar for $860M.

"RealScout offers truly outstanding real estate solutions for a surprisingly underserved portion of the residential real-estate market," said Sarslow. "Through first-hand experience and open dialogue with customers, the management team truly understands the needs of real estate industry professionals."

"Our vision to power successful relationships between real estate professionals and their clients hinges on hiring the industry's best talent, and we're excited that top real estate professionals like Duke and Mary are taking notice," said Flachner. "There are few people better suited for leading product than Duke. He possesses a rare combination of product experience and real-estate domain expertise; he's a dream come true for our team and our customers. Mary brings relentless execution and impeccable instincts to steer our sales organization to outsized success."

With Duke and Mary's leadership, RealScout will continue to improve upon its one-of-a-kind search and client engagement platform and deliver it to a wider, larger audience. RealScout's MLS-powered active listings empower agents and clients to search for homes based on highly desirable, yet traditionally difficult-to-search-for criteria such as remodeled kitchens, large backyards and proximity to Google shuttle stops. The RealScout platform is available to individual agents as well as brokerage customers.
