Rauxa Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary

Top Independent Agency Unveils New Website, Branding, and Suite of Service Offerings

COSTA MESA, CA--(Marketwired - July 23, 2014) - Rauxa, an independent, full-service marketing agency, is celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Founded in 1999 as a four-person direct-mail agency in Orange County, California, Rauxa has grown to more than 200 employees in five offices coast to coast.

"We started Rauxa with a clear vision for direct response marketing," said Jill Gwaltney, Rauxa Founder and CEO. "Since then, we've continued to grow to meet the needs of clients' objectives. Throughout our expansion of new services and capabilities, we've remained true to our values as an independent, customer-centric company."

As a reflection of its evolution, Rauxa recently refreshed its corporate branding and launched a new website.

"Because we are so different today than from years past, it seemed only fitting that our online presence reflect the evolution we've undergone," said Gina Alshuler, Rauxa President. "Our evolution doesn't stop here. Looking into the next 15 years and beyond, I know we'll continue to push ourselves and our clients to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that impact their business."

In 2012, the agency acquired ThoughtMatrix, a leading digital design and development firm. The acquisition has deepened the agency's experience in technology and all-things digital-from content marketing to website design. Rauxa has also expanded into new practice areas, including research and media planning and buying.

As part of its anniversary initiative, the agency will be coordinating community-service projects through its charitable program, RauxaGives, which aims to educate, empower, and mentor others in the community through the exploration and discovery of the arts and sciences. Rauxa employees will join together to volunteer 800 hours of time toward various RauxaGives outreaches in Costa Mesa, New York, and San Francisco later this year.

Rauxa was ranked #2 on the Orange County Business Journal Advertising List in April 2014. The agency currently works with leading brands including Altera, Bank of the West, Capital One, Chase, Experian, Farmers Insurance, Fidelity Investments, GlaxoSmithKline, Guthy-Renker, HTC, Intuit, Jenny Craig, LSI, McAfee, Oracle, Verizon Wireless, Virgin America, and others.

IoT & Smart Cities Stories
The challenges of aggregating data from consumer-oriented devices, such as wearable technologies and smart thermostats, are fairly well-understood. However, there are a new set of challenges for IoT devices that generate megabytes or gigabytes of data per second. Certainly, the infrastructure will have to change, as those volumes of data will likely overwhelm the available bandwidth for aggregating the data into a central repository. Ochandarena discusses a whole new way to think about your next...

Cell networks have the advantage of long-range communications, reaching an estimated 90% of the world. But cell networks such as 2G, 3G and LTE consume lots of power and were designed for connecting people. They are not optimized for low- or battery-powered devices or for IoT applications with infrequently transmitted data. Cell IoT modules that support narrow-band IoT and 4G cell networks will enable cell connectivity, device management, and app enablement for low-power wide-area network IoT. B...

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
