Kapow & BEA will present an interactive session about the challenge in implementing Portal Integrations and creating Composite Applications from the web.

Portal Integration - Employee or Customer Self Service portals are implemented to improve productivity of having one site and one user interface. Kapow's RoboSuite can re-purpose applications into a Portal within a matter of minutes versus months of re-programming the interface to work inside the portal.

Composite Applications - Complex workflows require stitching together parts of multiple applications. Kapow can easily create these composite workflows even through firewalls or when no API or backend access exists by utilitizing the web front end.

Credit Suisse First Boston, Bank of America and TIAA-Cref are implementing Portals to consolidate the numerous sites that customers and employees have to go to. Kapow is in the process of re-purposing a number of their applications into the portal within a few months. Re-writing the application to work within the portal will require a year or more.
